DiFelice

Looks like he took the demotion hard – that’s only his second walk at any level this season.

His overall K/BB rate cratered from 44 to 22.5 in just one game.

Release him now before it gets even worse.

BTW, I just realized that nobody here even mentioned the Sounds turning a triple play during Narron’s complete game the day before. (Vinny Rottino LD catch and runner doubled off first, other runner doubled off second.)

Pitcher David Welch pinch-hit for Huntsville yesterday…just as well, I suppose, since he’s carrying a .320/.320/.440/.760 line in 25 AB right now. Struck out yesterday, though. (And I see he struck out in another PH appearance on the 29th, too.)

And a shame that John didn’t include Lucroy’s line this time…1-for-2 with 3 walks. Now .326/.380/.558/.938 in 43 AB since his promotion to Brevard. Other than OBP (.011 lower), those numbers are all even higher than what he did in WV, so I guess somebody failed to tell him about the FSL being a pitcher’s league…

Featured Poll

Poll
Who is the Brewers' top prospect?
  • Brett Lawrie - Cana-DUH!
  • Mat Gamel - A great pure hitter who could potentially play a position of need.
  • Alcides Escobar - The Brewers sorely need his defensive wizardry and contact-hitting approach. He also solves the 3B hole by shifting J.J. over.
  • Jonathan Lucroy - The best catching prospect in the system by virtue of the fact that he can actually catch. His hitting numbers at Brevard are very good on the face of it, but even better after accounting for Space Coast Stadium.
  • Angel Salome - He's leading a Huntsville team that's loaded with prospects in all three slash stats, and he has the tools to be a good defensive catcher.
  • Jeremy Jeffress - The only real pitching prospect in a sea of hitters, Jeffress could potentially ease the pain of losing two aces by blossoming into one himself.
  • Carlos George - Hey, Derek Jeter can't play defense either.
