We're starting Seth McClung, and they're starting Ubaldo Jimenez.  Most importantly, we have CC Sabathia, and they don't.

Did you airbrush Shouse out of that picture?

I could’ve sworn he was in there somewhere.

Also, cheese.

speaking of whom...

nice confidence-boosting game yesterday for all three of our relievers who seemed to labour a bit of late.

a sabre-toothed raccoon in the back-left?

by PagsBrewCrew on Jul 7, 2008 7:24 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

No, it’s a borhyaenoid.

He's extremely quick and good.

Is C.C.'s press conference on anywhere?

And neck size to baby eating ratio.

by jihad on Jul 7, 2008 6:11 PM CDT   0 recs

Yost just said on the radio pre-game show

that Suppan hyperextended his elbow on a swing about a month ago and has been labouring through that. Take it for what it’s worth…

by Zeyes on Jul 7, 2008 6:45 PM CDT   0 recs

did they also find

that he had a mechanical adjustment that needed to be made
or perhaps that he was tipping his pitches?

by PagsBrewCrew on Jul 7, 2008 7:02 PM CDT to parent up   1 recs

whoohoo!

i’m going to watch me some brewer games:

MLB.com has just announced this offer for those who vote in this now time-honored process:

• If you are not a current MLB.TV subscriber (MLB.TV or MLB.TV Premium), then you are eligible to receive a one week free trial of MLB.TV Premium from July 11-18. That will amount to five full days of the regular season. A valid e-mail address is required for the offer. ====
of course, I think that coincides with the San Francisco series. Can I choose another week, please?;)

by PagsBrewCrew on Jul 7, 2008 7:06 PM CDT   0 recs

oooh, oooh..

is CC projected to pitch the Giants series? I suppose that won’t be known until right before (or right after) the ASB.
I’ve already seen Sheets and Santana match up. It’d be fun to see another Cy Young past or future.

by PagsBrewCrew on Jul 7, 2008 7:08 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

supposedly

he’s going to start both the last game before the ASB (the 13th) as well as the first one afterwards (18th), assuming they don’t end up moving away from the latter idea until then. So you might have two CC starts in that week.

by Zeyes on Jul 7, 2008 7:13 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

isn't that the series with the complete Saturday blackout?

I’ve noticed that whenever I wanted to see Tim Lincecum pitch, the games would be blacked out. Ugh, West Coast starts and the stupid FOX monopoly.

by morineko on Jul 7, 2008 7:10 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I just buy it...

Only way to catch Brewers games in Australia…
Unless I go to the sports bar at 10:00 in the morning.

Greetings from the Windy City!

Hello Brewers fans! I have a question that I haven’t been able to find the answer to.

LaPorta was drafted by the Brewers in the June 2007 draft but I don’t think he signed until August. As far as I understood, teams could not trade players for one year. Is that one year from when they draft a player or sign a player?

Thanks and congrats on getting CC.

Hey, it's a new century!

by cowsarecool220 on Jul 7, 2008 7:12 PM CDT   0 recs

that's us

violating rules, left and right :)

maybe they could rephrase it to be PTBL #2, as indians don’t need LaPorta quite yet;)

by PagsBrewCrew on Jul 7, 2008 7:14 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

He signed June 25 last year

What's the temperature over at Bizarro BCB

regarding the CC deal?

I’d check on my own, but I can’t stomach that place.

Fruit Loops and Bile is a good name for that place

Mostly people saying it isn’t enough. They were better before and still are. Its a good thing cuz we’ll stink after this year now.

My favorite though is how they’re licking their chops because they pound left handers.

I prefer "Bleed Cubbie Bleed"

by PagsBrewCrew on Jul 7, 2008 8:11 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

they haven't noticed yet

afterall, it’s doesn’t concern their team directly…yet

by PagsBrewCrew on Jul 7, 2008 7:49 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

It's still just rumors and innuendo!

Boy, Milwaukee sure would look stupid if this blew up in their faces! Ha Ha Ha! Just remember Cubs fans, the sexy move is not necessarily the right move! Ho Ho Ho!

He's extremely quick and good.

by battlekow on Jul 7, 2008 7:52 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

And Sabathia has a 30+ ERA against the Cubs!

Sure, it’s one (1) start, but it’s indicative of…something!

by Zeyes on Jul 7, 2008 7:58 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I am shocked

that a package of Cedeno and Gallagher didn’t get it done.

But no pie.. if you don’ t think Cedeno and Gallagher is enough then maybe Murton.

by Braun Holio on Jul 7, 2008 9:04 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

i wish MLB writers

would stop calling the
Pirates Bucs (that’s a florida football team…or a homophone of a Wisconsin basketball team)
or the Rockies the Rox (I keep thinking Red sOX whenever I see that) – why not Rocks?

by PagsBrewCrew on Jul 7, 2008 7:47 PM CDT   0 recs

not to mention the...

Brockton Rox.

Seriously, “Bucs” always annoys me, too. But then I’m somehow mis-wired anyway and tend to read “Tribe” as “Twins”. Doesn’t help that both teams are in the same division.

by Zeyes on Jul 7, 2008 7:53 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Actually the Pittsburgh Buc(caneer)s were first

Before Tampa Bay or the Milwaukee NBA franchise.

Zach Braddock having a good game

8 K’s in 6 innngs, 2 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks. He’s really unhittable. If he can just cut down on the walks, he can really be something.

Great recovery there

Seth seems to have a knack for that. Kind of like Rickie has a knack for scoring runs. Or maybe I have no concept.
