The drumbeat

for the Crabbe Man continues!

"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

Komatsu

There has to be a way to make it so whenever is name is typed on the site, it is automatically replaced with a picture of a skid-steer or something.

"He's been very, very impressive," Yost said. "I mean really impressive. I mean really, really impressive."

Komo and Bramhall

Komatsu is a stud…any chance he gets promoted to BC any time soon? And who is Robert Bramhall? Just peeked at his numbers and they’re pretty outstanding, although he is old for the league. Is he a legit prospect?

Bramhall's a bit of a sleeper

He’s certainly flown under the radar this year.

Komatsu, meanwhile, was named BA’s Pioneer League Prospect of the Day:

Outfielder Erik Komatsu has blistered Pioneer League pitching all season, but he’s been otherworldly in the month of August for Helena (Brewers). He continued his torrid pace yesterday as he blasted his eighth and ninth home runs of the season–both three-run shots coming with two outs in the inning–finishing 2-for-4 with two runs and six RBIs while adding an assist from right field. After batting .450 in his last 10 games, Komatsu’s season line now stands at .347/.421/.591.

His performance also merited a feature article on MiLB.com (h/t Brewerfan):

Look at any list of Pioneer League offensive leaders and you’ll find the name of Erik Komatsu.

Komatsu homered twice and collected a career-high six RBIs on Wednesday, powering the Helena Brewers to a 10-4 triumph over the Ogden Raptors at Lindquist Field.

The 20-year-old right fielder belted a pair of three-run shots to right field, one in the second inning and another in the sixth, for his second multi-homer game of his first professional season. He also went deep twice against Missoula on June 29.

Selected by Milwaukee in the eighth round of the June First-Year Player Draft, Komatsu has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games. He is third in the Pioneer League with a .347 batting average, second with a .421 on-base percentage and 45 runs scored and fourth with a .591 slugging percentage and 26 extra-base hits.

The native of Oxnard, Calif., has been even better in the clutch, hitting .440 (11-for-25) with runners in scoring position and two outs and .404 (23-for-57) in the seventh inning and later.

It also includes a cool picture of him from Fullerton:

Finally, you can listen to the audio calls of Komo’s two bombs.

BCB's "very own marginally deserving all-star!"
