It's time to face the facts
Mota is our Marmol.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
Does that mean...
today’s usage of Mota was exactly the right call (last section)?
(I’m not snarking, just running with the comparison.)
sooooooo, glad i stayed
My friends left to go to the store before the end of the game and i told them i was going to stay, even if it meant walking home (not too far, only a few miles). Glad i stayed!
and what a day for Cameron.

It's fun
to watch public opinion (including mine) on Cameron shift as we go through the summer. A month ago, the assumption was that his $10 million option wouldn’t be picked up. Two weeks ago, it was that it WOULD be picked up, but that it probably wouldn’t be a particularly shrewd decision by Moustache. Today, the thought is, well, maybe picking up the option would be smart.
By the middle of September, the conventional wisdom is that we’re getting him at a bargain in 2009. :)

Why everyone should be pro-Cameron
After today’s game, Cameron passed up Prince Fielder in OPS.
Seriously.
Cameron plays an above center field, Prince, well, you know. Hopefully that puts the kind of year Cameron is having into perspective for everybody.
Of course he’s still got a ways to go to best Tim Dillard for the team OPS lead. :)
And neck size to baby eating ratio.
Isn't Prince
still ahead for OPS by 27 points?
Cam is outslugging Prince, though. Tough to outslug a guy who hit 50 homers last year and might just sneak into 40 HRs this season.

Ohhhh
Maybe the stats aren’t updated yet.

They're not
I just thought it was funny that Tim Dillard is leading the Milwaukee Brewers in OPS.
And neck size to baby eating ratio.
Deja Brew
The Dodgers just loaded the bases in the top of the 10th with no outs against the Phillies and failed to score. We’ll see if they follow the script and win in the bottom.
BCB's "very own marginally deserving all-star!"
Brewers vs. Pirates
So far in ’08, the Pirates are 0-6 at Miller Park. Last year they were 1-8.

I think the Brewers have won 12 in a row aganist the Pirates at home, haven't they?

That's a lot of tucked-in shrts
Except for bobblehead boy.

Bobblehead boy and Rickie were the only ones on the field when they won
Maybe that has something to do with it?

Then the others
would have more time to untuck. :)
