Did anyone notice
…that today it’s Carsten vs. Karstens?
BCB's "very own marginally deserving all-star!"
I didn't even notice there was a game, much less pick out strange coincidences in pitching matchup names
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
I commented on it to my roommate.
He looked at me funny and walked away.
Small zone today
Not giving the corners at all, it looks like.
I just now sat down in front of a TV
How has Sabathia looked?
BCB's "very own marginally deserving all-star!"
So-so
hitting his spots pretty well, backdoor cutter looking filthy against lefties, but still adjusting to the tight zone I think
The usual
6’7", 290 abouts. He’s also black.
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
Luckily for the overworked pen, reinforcements are on their way!
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
What did he say?
"He's been very, very impressive," Yost said. "I mean really impressive. I mean really, really impressive."

Is it just me
or does Prince look really uncomfortable at the plate? Really unsteady bat waggle
That Kapler ball
really looked fair. Not a whole lot of room that you could put it outside the pole but still into that set of seats.
Nice inning
- R. Howard doubled to deep center
- S. Victorino reached on bunt single to pitcher, R. Howard to third
- J. Werth grounded out to pitcher, S. Victorino to second
- P. Feliz intentionally walked
- C. Ruiz flied out to center
- J. Moyer grounded out to pitcher

So who saw the Laroche hit in the fifth?
Jim and Bob are on a mission to get the official score changed, neither thinks it was a hit. I didn’t see it, what’s the opinion around here?
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
FSN has been showing a pretty definitive still that shows LaRoche less than halfway down the line as CC bobbled the ball

Hank Steinbrenner wants to make Sabathia the highest-paid pitcher ever.

Get the 16th-best record in the majors, Yankees!

They're 11th best right now
C.C. could find worse places to land.
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
Hurt his hand
fielding a ball. Stayed in the game and hurt it worse, apparently.
Cards are losing 1-0 in the 7th
Good day for the Brewers so far, overall
BCB's "very own marginally deserving all-star!"
finally we make up for all the embarrassment of the last decade
Also, cheese.

good point
Every other year for no reason at all the Brewers would have lost this series.
This is a different Brewers team this year.
YoGanna win with Gallardo on the mound.
i kinda feel like driving to pittsburgh
finding a pickup tennis match or two, and blasting somebody off the court.
just for an exclamation point.
Also, cheese.

One step closer
to 2 straight days of cheap wings!
There’s a bar in town that does wing discounts the entire next day if the brewers score 6 or more – 20c/ea for 6+ runs, 15c/ea for 10+, 10c/ea for 14+. And I take advantage.
Difficult decision for Ned to make here
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
Astros get out of jam
Cards had runners on 2nd and 3rd but Houston gets out of it. Still up 1-0 in bottom of 7th.
YoGanna win with Gallardo on the mound.
girlfriend sees Piniella doing his slow walk to the mound
says that guy looks like a baby wearing a onesie with a big belly and a diaper walking like that

Get CC out of there
No reason to put him on the mound in the 8th. None!!
YoGanna win with Gallardo on the mound.
The part of my brain that loves anarchy is relishing the idea of CC finishing the game just for the controversy
The rest of my brain is very angry with that part, though.
BCB's "very own marginally deserving all-star!"
I entirely understand and agree with this
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
mets beat marlins 6-2
I’m kind of just hoping that one of the East teams pulls away and one fades, extending our wild card lead.
YoGanna win with Gallardo on the mound.
Phillies are at 1.19 percent odds of winning the wildcard
Happy news: Brewers playoff odds are up to 94.59731. That’s higher than they topped out at last year.
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
If you would be a Cubs fan, and you rounded the tenths column up, you could relax
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
A Cubs fan woudn't know how to round up a tenths column
Now you are pro-Cameron

pythag
interesting: we’re now only outperforming pythag by 3 wins, and if today’s score stays where it is, that may well go down to 2. It’s like pythag is regressing to win%, rather than the other way around.
Also, cheese.
I wonder how much of CC in the 9th
is Ned wanting to stick it in the eye of his critics and the national media
Well, says Ned
He only averaged 13 pitches per inning out there today.

.....
every starter should be able to go 110-120 every 5 days .. cc easily can throw more than that on a 5 day basis
