Bob Webb Conspiracy Theory

Star-divide

An anonymous major league scout told me that Bob Webb was just worried that the Brewers were abusing Sabathia with high pitch counts. He figured that, by calling the error a hit, he would make it less likely for CC to go the distance, and get near 120 pitches again.

The source also said that Bob Webb is a close personal friend of Juan Nieves, who had become increasingly worried, over the past month, that he would cease to become the answer to a popular baseball trivia question. This is Nieves' only claim to fame, and he feared Sabathia would ruin it.

The source also indicated that Bob Webb has a hatred for puppies.

I've been connecting some dots as well

And I’ve discovered a suspicious Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball League where complete games, innings pitched, and hits allowed are scored extraordinarily high. First place is held by a mysterious “DaleSrFan53214”. Second place? A certain “ScorerGuy08”.

Ryan Braun: He loves it.

Too bad this guy doesn't work in the Arizona Rookie League

he would cut down on the ol’ Carlos George-o-meter.

Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)

Lost in the controversy

How novel is it for us Brewers fans to see an official scorer actually stick with a questionable ruling?

Mildly.

After a 7-0 win, it’s more of a…novella, I think.

Brewer Official Scorers

Excellent comment TheJay. I have witnessed too many scoring changes by Tim O’Driscoll and Wayne Franke.

I have a source that says that Bob Webb is actually the great grand nephew of the original George Webb, and that in anticipation of a possible no-hitter (my source also states that Bob Webb is a clairvoyant) he gave LaRoche a single in retaliation for C.C. complaining to the manager of the Hales Corners George Webb that they put lettuce on six of the seven burgers in his “Burgers in a Bag” despite the fact that C.C. expressly requested “none of that green shit” on his burgers.
