Its difficult to judge from a few quotes to the media, but he didn’t sound as if he thought it was a big deal and I was kind of surprised that he hadn’t talked to Manny yet.
Most other programs I've seen:
Baseball Tonight, PTI…... Seemed to think it wasn’t a big deal either.
They even went so far to say that it might actually be good for the team.

sure he’s hit a few HRs lately, but I see the guy hitting before him with more production.
And given the pitching matchup, tonight is a good night to sit him – I pessimistically think we don’t have a chance, even with him in the lineup.

this is how situations like the MANNY stuff happen. cause they are used to getting away with stuff that is totally unacceptable. and, it is a big deal. you cant go around smacking and attacking people no matter what they say to you. i am a yost hater; but this is just the end of it for me. i think the way he has handled this is classless. embarrassing. it is a big deal; im surprised melvin and attanasio havent stepped in on this one.

I know what you are getting at. But I don’t see how he can get a free pass. He embarrassed both the club and the fan base. Steve Smith got sat for 2 games for fighting, and being a dick caught on tape gets you what… a “atta boy” from Yost?
