Famous Geoff Jenkins Look-alike Traded to NY Jets
According to Rotoworld, citing FoxSports' Jay Glazer, the Packers traded that Brett Favre guy to the Jets, probably for a draft pick. I had forgotten: Favre's $100 million contract doesn't expire until 2011.

Oh Brett!
I am glad that this whole saga is finally over with, for our Packers and for Brett. It is time to move on. I am so proud to say that I will forever be a fan of Brett Favre, even despite this turn of events. Since my parents are season ticket holders I have been watching Brett since I was a little kid and he has given me so many AWESOME times and memories, I can’t even name them all. At the same time I cannot blame the team for wanting to move on and I am really impressed that they stuck to their guns and went through with all of this. I thought when he showed up at camp it was game over and he was back as our starter, boy was i wrong.
Thank you Brett for so many great years and the best of luck to you in New York!!!
Sorry I don’t know how to do the fancy links, but enjoy!!

I may throw up a little bit in my mouth when I see him in another uniform. But i’m glad it’s over. I’ll be a Jets fan till they play the Packers. I see why both sides did what they did, but it’s a shame it ended this way.

Thank G-d
I was getting really tired of the Santa Claus-ian footage of Brett’s every move. I liked him before all this dramatic crapola started, but now I’m not so sure. At least Aaron Rodgers gets treated fairly.

Too bad
I was hoping he’d go to a team that had #4 already retired just because it’d be funny, but then I learned only the Giants have retired that number.

I've been a Jets fan
since I was a little kid (no real reason, just happened) along with the Packers, so I feel happy and sad. He’s better than anyone the Jets had, so it’s great for them, but bad for the Packers and the NFL in general. Favre kinda seems like a headcase nowadays, but I still hope he does great. And we all know he still has to go into the Hall Of Fame as a Packer still. At least John Madden can continue to get on his man-crush with Favre. Maybe he knew something when he put him on the cover of Madden 09…....

I wonder if Favre being traded counts as part of the Madden curse?

The Madden people have to be thrilled to have a guy on the cover who is playing for a different team. Think they’ll try to change it before it gets released?

Nah
They’re actually using it to their advantage – it’s the last cover that he’ll be in a Packers uniform for so it’ll be a special thing…
assuming he’ll play well enough in the future to be on another cover

SportsCenter
said that they will have a free cover you can download with Brett the Jet. And they will have a free download to add him to the game as a Jet. Packers fans should not use the download because then we can have him in video game land for one more year.

No.
But going 6-10 and throwing 20 picks is.

Do the Brewers get any sandwich picks out of this?
