Interleague games against the AL Central
Why don’t we ever get to play Oakland or Texas?
Obscure baseball records and more at my blog, Recondite Baseball.
Rivals I guess
Not a fair schedule like the NFL where they alternate games vs different divisions, but for rivalry purposes only… not a fair way to do it
I also think they should do something if possible like in the NFL where the 1st place in each division plays the 1st place of the other two divisions (why the Packers are playing the Cowboys) and the 4th places place the other 4th place… this way it brings even more parity, and then alternates the AFC division we face each year, so if there is a stronger division, you will only play it one out of every three years.
This year the Brewers got screwed with 2 more games at Wrigley, next year there is 1 more at Miller Park (not that will help as the Cubs are 6-0 there this year I think)
The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.
If we're going on this years records...
June and—especially—August should be some nice months.
Bye Ned!
