Grammar notwithstanding, today was a pretty good day if you're a Brewer fan. Your post-game thread is open.

Now they're going through their laundry list of blame
Top target is Wright, then the pen. This is fun to listen to.

Are they as heinous as Yankee/Red Sox fans?
by Braun Holio on Sep 24, 2008 10:14 PM CDT up reply actions
Not sure that's possible
They seem more resigned than anything right now.

I guess I was wrong
XM usually has the home team announcers, but these were the ESPN Radio guys, apparently.

just saw that freddi gonzalez said
he’ll play his starters “for the integrity of the game”
I untuck my shirt!
OK
So who’s concerned about Solomon “Grundy” Torres? Other than me, I mean.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

in West Virginia
there’s a high school Grundy with the mascot “the golden wave”
looks like a bunch of piss on their logo. Most excellent.
I had some shorts from there once upon a time (yes, I was in Grundy once).

Hell Yeah
Tied for the wild card with Yovani Gallardo on the mound tommorow. Could anything else possibly happen this year?
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
that’s pretty ballsy, throwing a guy fresh off an ACL tear right into the heat of the wild card race….
Alternative=Jeff Suppan
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
How juvenile
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
quick
tell us how many Brewers logos are on the tie, and how that compares to team-logo ties across the league, and you’ll get your reputation back :).
Also, cheese.

yeah, it's been a decent sports day
not just the brewers making the day today….
as a Tigers fan, the bad from falling into dead last in the AL Central is offset a bit from the news that the roller coaster man Todd Jones is retiring.
As a Lions fan….well, I rue the fact that I won’t be able to scream FIRE MILLEN any more without feeling a tiny bit foolish, but….DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD!
and now the Cubs do right by the brew crew….not too shabby a day, all told
Zeke, Yost and now Millen
It is apparently a bad year to be in charge of a sports franchise while completely clueless about that sport. Any other jacka$$es with cranial impaction running franchises into the ground. And the Clippers don’t count. Them finding a clue is one of the signs of the apocalypse.

Smaller this time so it's not as much of a shock

All of you who gave up on the season two weeks ago are hereby welcome to rejoin the bandwagon.
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)

...so much for the smaller theory :)
If there was ever a Cub W to deserve a big flag, though, this is it.
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
Lovely
I hope the Brewers get more than two hits tomorrow. Oh, and this one sucks all around for the Mets. I feel sorry for their fans.
Just kidding, I don’t.
My non-embarrassing thoughts on the Brewers:
Two Fisted Slopper
Neither do I
Though the only two Mets fans I know are real stand-up guys.

Did Sveum say that?
If so, YESSS!!!!
Sat: George 2 (37, missed catch, fielding) Fri: George (35, throw) Tues: George (34, throw)
See, there you go

Now its up to you. Game tomorrow will most likely be rained out, could be made up on Monday if it means something.

That squirrel can water ski!
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
Too bad the Astros game won't mean something
Or there could be a real schedule mess.
Obscure baseball records and more at my blog, Recondite Baseball.
Actually, they're talking about rainouts tomorrow and friday in NY.
If so, they’re looking at a doubleheader on Saturday, followed by games Sunday and potentially Monday.
I have an unreasonable dislike of Bill Hall.

Huge noreaster coming up the coast
I’m in DC, we’re expecting rain essentially tomorrow through Friday night, which means tomorrow night through Saturday morning in NYC.

Rickie Weeks Post-All Star Break: .265/.385/.446
Bill Hall Post-All Star Break: .203/.293/.320
But of course Weeks is batting seventh.
Weeks' pitch recognition seems excellent the post couple months
I’m sick of all the bunting already, but he should try it once in a while.
You ingrates owe Cub fans free brats this weekend...
We’re taking care of the craptastic Mets for you. We expect a bit of thanks when we trek to Wrigley North this weekend. Maybe throw a deep dish pizza or an italian beef in that sausage race of yours too.
I resemble that remark!
Without the ’stache of course
"Brett Favre looks like a man in a parking lot playing with boys." - John Madden
"Pujols just unloaded." - Bob Uecker
I seem to remember a while back
A very bad Brewers team winning in the final games to help put the Cubs in the playoffs lets just say you are paying back a debt cubs fans
If Loving CC is wrong I do not want to be right
question:
Wouldn’t winning Sausage Race be more meaningful if Randall Simon was retained to chase after the meat-folk with a club?
Everytime I think of that
I find myself wishing a Brewer pitcher threw at Randall Simon in his next at-bat. That would have been cool.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
Apologies
to this BCB for bringing this nonsense north.
