Sheets pitching Saturday
"He's pitching tomorrow," Sveum said. "As of right now he's our starting pitcher for tomorrow's ball game. We'll see how things go. He said he's feeling as good as he has in a month, so we'll see what happens."

If
Sheets really feels as good as he has for the past month or so, that would be huge.

Does this feel like a "what the hell" moment to anyone else?
I have an unreasonable dislike of Bill Hall.

I wonder
how much of Sheets’ willingness to play is spurred by Gallardo’s triumphant return.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
I nominate Bush for Sunday
with CC in the pen if it matters

This really is news
Went to the game, yelled and clapped my head off and couldn’t have loved it any more than I did. However, right after it ended, they announced over the PA that Dave Bush would pitch today. I felt a little regret that Sheets didn’t come through his bullpen session feeling good enough to pitch, but I was flushed with so many tremendous good vibes that I brushed it off.
Now, back at home after celebrating with friends, I see Sheets is pitching. I mean, hey, that’s great. Way to suck it up, Sheetsie. But I didn’t think they’d announce to the crowd Bush was pitching Saturday if that wasn’t going to happen.
My point? I have none. Holy sweet Jesus, Mary and Joseph was that a friggin’ amazing time out at the ballpark.
Go Brewers!
Use the brown eye, ump!

I’m stoked as anyone to have Ben start today (in fact, I’m wearing my lucky Ben Sheets #15 Brewers T-shirt today. Which gets some bizarre looks here in the land of Mannymania). But what’s the contingency plan?
We may need to hold Parra back for Monday (if necessary — I’m making an additional assumption that if a Monday game is necessary, Sveum wouldn’t want to put YoGa out there on 3 days rest.) Do we prefer Parra to Bush? So if Ben doesn’t have it, or starts hurting, do we go to Bush in the early innings today?
Maybe I should try a "lucky" Oliver Perez shirt tomorrow
and see if it has the same effect on the pitcher in question.
