Awesome

Real happy someone put up footage of these. Wasn’t on TV, and only got to hear Gamel and Escobar’s AB’s on the way home from the first day back in college.

I had thought Salome had an open stance from things I’ve read. But one thing I agree with in Salome’s own words, his swing is painful to look at. What a wild hack that is. If it’s barrell it’s long gone some place.

Gam Gam trying to Zen in some inner Cole Gillespie and trying to draw a walk. Pretty nasty pitch though.

Escobar has some herky jerkiness before his swing. But can’t argue with that follow through. In other words, I’d like him to keep that jersey on for about another two three thirteen years.

And yeah, I still think Barrelman hit a HR. It’s a conspiracy. Jim Edmonds threw that other ball from Wrigley into play making it seem like a double when the ball clearly breached Earth’s gravity and made Sputnik it’s daddy.

Salome's swing

He pulls his head and shoulder out so much that you’d think he’d get whiplash. Is that his standard swing, or was he just overexcited. That is the kind of swing that you’d yell at your 12 year old son for taking, but if it works for him, then great.

You missed one

I don’t think he’s as highly regarded of a prospect as those four, as I haven’t seen his name in AAA buzz this year, but Yahoo’s box score tells me that the Brewers started one “M. Rivera” (Matt? Manuel?) at first today in what I can only assume to be his first MLB appearance.

Congratulations, Mr. Rivera.

C. Magruder scored, R. Weeks to second on balk

I took solace

I was in a suite yesterday, even though the result was horrible, I at least got to see both hopefully some major league history first at bats.
