Wouldn't dislike for Bill Hall or Jeff Suppan not be considered irrational? Since they've both been terrible for the past two years?
Particularly in the case of Hall, who was for all intents and purposes the offense in 2006, gets paid, and then proceeds to suck? I'm familiar with the 'well if he hadn't been moved twice' arguments, but let's be honest: he's a $6.8MM paper-weight this season. And he said if he wasn't going to start full-time he ought to be traded last season. No irrationality with disliking that guy.
Similarly, Jeff Suppan got paid on one season, and one year in the playoffs. Now, he's eating $12.5MM of our payroll that could have gone to a good starting pitcher (yes, I understand hindsight is 20/20...but how could the HR totals not be a red flag for The Mustache?). I suppose a little more irrationality could enter here: sometimes fans may get upset with the Managerial (or FO, is Dougie behind it?) decisions to keep Suppan in the rotation, even though he is quite unable to keep the ball in the park and runs off the board.
Anyway, just throwing that out there.
