MLB Front Office Manager, new game by 2k sports
Allows you to do many things that a baseball GM does. It is a basically a baseball strategy game, for all the people who on this blog who think they know better than Doug Melvin, this could be a way to test your skills and have a deep gameplay experience

I’ve got this at the top of my list for the 360 right now. It’s essentially the ultimate fantasy baseball game, and they have Billy Beane doing lots of work on this. Should be fun.
Sadly though, I bet they don’t actually name top prospects like always. Mat Gamel shall be Mike Gumpert or something, and Alcides Escobar will be like Blake Mailman. Wish 2K made like NHL 09 for this game and got the rights to use the full Minor League rosters over made up names. I want to make sure Jake Odorizzi gets to the majors fast, I just have to know where they put him and what name they have him as :)

Reviews?
I’ve read a couple reviews that say it is nothing special and not really all that different than running a season/dynasty in MLB The Show (or whatever the 2K sports game is).
Has anyone played it, or read anything positive about the game?

Might want to think twice about this game.
Most of the preliminary reviews are saying that this game is utter garbage.

The best
GM/managerial game out there is Out of the Park Baseball… Version 9 is out and version 10 is in the works. Check it out!
Doesn’t come with the MLB players, but there are user mods that will fill that gap.

Could not agree more.
Most complete sports simulation I’ve ever seen. I’m hopelessly addicted to OOTP 9—just ask my wife.
BTW—to clarify, it does come with MLB players, just not the logos and photos. But Safebet is right—the mods are easy to find and use.

Baseball Mogul
I’ve been a fan of this game for a while
Its pretty customizable and you can start a franchise anywhere from 1901 to now (or 2008 I should say). I started a franchise with the ‘89 Brewers a little while ago. Of course I immediately had to get rid of Sheffield cuz I just hate that bastard. Haven’t gotten that far with that franchise but thats cuz I’ve got two other Brewer franchises as well as a completely redrafted league as well. I would highly suggest checking it out for anyone interested.
Frye is honestly gotta be one of the top 10 3rd Stringers in all of the NFL right now--colbyb

How many balls did Sheffield intentionally launch into the stands before you dealt him?
I have an unreasonable dislike of Bill Hall.

I only had him for like three games…so probably 10 I’m guessing.
Seriously though, I traded him and two lower prospects for a rookie centerfielder named Ken Griffey Jr. I thought it might be cool to see what it would be like if I got to watch his career unfold in “Milwaukee.” Moved Yount back to short. I should play some of that now that I think about it

Have you gone back to the early 80s...
…to give that Ned Yost character some more playing time? I wonder what his stats would be like playing a whole season behind the dish.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

You've seen Chad Moeller, right?
He’s not the worst pitcher ever, just the worst good pitcher.

I bought it, and
I think it was designed by monkeys. EVERYONE gets on the DL at some point in the regular season, and about 75% of every roster is at the end of their contract to start the season.
Luckily I got it for about half off thanks to Best Buy in store pick up failure.
