Tough call here
I was back and forth between Gindl and Aguilar with Gillespie a close third. Ultimately, the lack of upper level pitching prospects in the organization makes Aguilar that much more valuable here, thus I had to go with him.
But not as a reliever…
If he were a starter putting up those numbers I would agree with you, but I don’t value relievers that highly.

In most cases I would agree
But with what the market has become for closers these days, an in-house developed guy that can be controlled for several years has a lot of benefits in my eyes with regard to salary and roster maneuverability.

Third time I've voted for Gindl...
… which probably means he’ll tanks this year.
I have an unreasonable dislike of Bill Hall.

The Dykstras are surprisingly formal.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
At least they don't use apostrophes inappropriately.
I hate a**holes who do that.
I have an unreasonable dislike of Bill Hall.

Re: Cutter
From this interesting (and lengthy) article about Lenny Dykstra…
"Terri called and asked if Lenny could meet her at a batting cage in town to watch Luke, their younger son, practice. "He’s going to be a switch-hitter," Dykstra said, after hanging up. "He’s got the gift. Cutter works hard—he’s ranked fourth in the country—but Luke’s got the gift."
Paging the scouting dept… get the other Dykstra, too.
On reading this article, Gord Ash had the following comment:
Doh.

Keep up with the quotes like that Nails...
… because God knows we need another player with unresolved conflicts with his Father. Assuming he isn’t already pissed off at you because you named him Cutter while his brother got the cool name with the Biblical/Star Wars reference.
“Luke. I am your Father. Stay back on the ball. Don’t try to do too much with it, and together we can rule the Universe as Father and Son. (Breathy Exhale/Inale… repeat as necessary.)”
I have an unreasonable dislike of Bill Hall.

At least with the Dykstras
Cutter might have issues with Lenny, but unless Lenny is in tight with Madoff, Lenny isn’t going to lose all of his money like Cecil did.
Also, cheese.
