Saturday's Playoff Action Open Thread
There's only one game tonight, as the Rockies and Phillies have been postponed in Denver.
So tonight, it's Vicente Padilla and the Dodgers taking on Joel Pineiro and the Cardinals at 5:07. Who you got?

I really wanna go trolling at VeB
But I don’t want to set a poor example, and I certainly don’t want to act like they do.

I stopped by there (but didn't post) a couple of days ago..
… after they blew their 9th inning lead. There was about a 300 comment discussion berating one of their own for calling the game with 2 outs in the 9th inning.
9th inning losses in the playoffs can cause irrational behavior, I suppose.
Tonight one of their commentors is suggesting the umps are on the take.

Nice I was thinking the same thing
Moving on ready look forward not backwards The 2009 season is over it never happen as far as I am concerned so lets boldly look forward to the 2010 season
Last week one of their d-bag announcers said...
… that if Fielder stopped staring at his homeruns and untucking, we might win a division title some day.
Assuming for the moment that there’s a causal relationship between untucking and not winning the division, does it now follow that in order to win a playoff game (as the Brewers did last year), the Cards have to relax a little and untuck after victories?

Broxton in the 8th again to face Pujols.
Is this what it’s like to have a smart manager?

saw a tweet posing the question:
Great question by CJ: If Cardinals fans leave early (as many have) does that hurt status as baseball’s best fans? Or enhance it?
Cards are now 0-6 since
I untucked on Busch field. You are welcome NL.

Late to the party, but this is beautiful.
I saw part of one early inning and the STL fans had white towels? What gives?!? and were the Cardinals able to handle fielding?
You've got a couple screws missin' up in your toolbox, if you think that you'll stop this man from hittin' moonshots.
I for one..
Hope that some sponsor steps to the plate for every Cards @ Brewers home game and hands out white towels.
Ohhh,
Excellent idea.
Even if the sponsorship doesn’t happen, let’s remember to bring towels to STL games at MP in 2010.

There you go.
We’ve got some too.
To temporarily go on a “stick it to the STL” tangent, I noticed the first all-fan giveaway date in 2010 is April 11, a Sunday game with the Cards. Come on, Prince Fielder Home Run Derby Champion bobble!

they released the giveaway dates already?
Do you have a link?

I don't have a link
But we got our 2010 season ticket invoice on Friday and it lists the dates, all Sundays:
April 11 (STL)
May 16 (PHI)
June 27 (SEA)
July 25 (WSH)
Aug 8 (HOU)
Aug 29 (PIT)
None in September. Maybe they are done trying to draw against the Packers?
If you have a “tentative schedule” magnet from the last home series of ’09, it also notes the all-fan giveaway days.

Well whaddaya know
the dates are on the magnetic schedule. I should look more closely next time.
