It's been so long since we had a playoff game, I almost forgot to post an open thread.

Wow
Furcal is really, really fast. Victorino didn’t have a chance of outrunning him on that rundown.
That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.
I'm just watching the game
I’m watching because it’s baseball. I’m having massive amounts of playoff apathy this year.
Maybe you need
Some comfort food?

that does indeed look good
…for future fall eating.
tbh, I started watching the game, made a cup of tea, picked up The Children’s Book by A.S. Byatt to read between innings…and I looked up, Lidge didn’t blow a save, and I’m on page 511.
Ooops.
Fisted Count:

Not I
As someone who reads over 300 sites with free content every day, I have a hard time convincing myself to pay for any baseball content.

Buck Martinez
I think he should explain pitcher psychology based on his inning for the Brewers thirty years ago.
You know me Al.
I saw Yovani's name
on a stat chart headed by Clayton Kershaw. It’s almost sort of like the Brewers were mentioned tonight.
You've got a couple screws missin' up in your toolbox, if you think that you'll stop this man from hittin' moonshots.
I missed it
Was it pitches/start? I’m pretty sure they’re both among the leaders in that.

I think it was batting avg against
Yovani was 3rd with .219. Kershaw and I think Lincecum were ahead.

I see I got here
just in time to see the Dodgers start losing

The first time I heard it I was confused as all hell
But the “Daily Double” sound is starting to grow on me.

Yeah
its pretty cool. I think we need a little less “Ice Ice Baby” and a little more Daily Double music

It must have been those towels
that made Utley make that bad throw

But the towels aren't all white
White border, but a large square of Dodger Blue on the inside. Much like STL wished for.

I think they're white underneath
So it gives the illision that they aren’t white, but still are, and still “distracting.”

Good point
But the Phillies seem able to resist the distraction thus far. Of course, the whiteness didn’t get to STL until late in game 2.

"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."
