Fall/Winter League Update for 10/21/2009

In Arizona: Jonathan Lucroy went 4-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in the Javelinas' 14-10 win over Mesa. Lorenzo Cain went 2-for-6 with a double, two RBI and two strikeouts. Taylor Green went 1-for-5 and scored a run, and Zach Braddock pitched two scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit and striking out three.

In Venezuela:

• Hernan Iribarren went 2-for-4 with a walk, drove in a run and was caught stealing in Lara's 9-8 win over La Guaira. 
• Brendan Katin went 2-for-5 with a doulbe and a home run, driving in two runs and scoring twice in Zulia's 13-8 loss to Aragua. 
• Juan Sanchez started in right field for Aragua and went 0-for-3.

In Mexico: David Welch made his debut last night for Guasave, getting the start and allowing three runs on four hits (two home runs) and two walks in 3.1 innings while striking out two in their 6-4 loss to Mexicali.

In the Dominican Republic: Rafael Lluberes faced three batters and allowed them all to reach on a hit and two walks in Cibao's 15-9 win over Aguilas Sunday. None of the runners scored.
