Looper to have meniscus 'cleaned up'
Indirectly blames atrocious pitching on it. Man up, loser, and don't blame it on an 'injury'--you're just a terrible pitcher.
Hopefully I've seen the last of you in a Brewers uni.

hahaha what?
“They told me I’d be able to walk out of there.” Well, yeah, you can walk, but it doesn’t mean you’ll like it much or you won’t be in pain or they won’t tell you to not exert yourself for a while.
I can already hear the comments after they pick up his option
He was pitching hurt, it wasn’t the real Looper, he’s a gamer, he’ll show up in spring training at 100% and ready to have a good year, blah blah blah.
You know me Al.
yeah
Unfortunate for him having to ahve surgery, but still, this screams Excuse. I’m not saying Looper is using it as an excuse, I’m saying DM/fans will use it as an excuse.
Cards Announcers On Gamel's First Career HR, "That’s all they need is another home run hitter".
Exactly
Although Looper did indirectly blame the knee.
I don’t have a category for "washed-up guys who may or may not be dominant big-league closers sometime soon."

Hey, no need to be so cynical
After all Bill Hall’s performances were soooo much better this season after his Lasik surgery…
"I hope your name is Rick"
Hey, they were for the first month
Just like Kendall. If you know you have a player who always starts slow (BJ Surhoff!), just get some stiff LASIK and have success in April.
You know me Al.
I kind of feel bad for him
A new team, brimming with playoff hopes, puts their trust in you to take them back to the promised land, and you just totally fall apart (in career-worst fashion). And not in a quick way, like Turnbow blowing a save, but over the course of a full season.
I can see why athletes tend to be, well, crazy. (Not you, Son of Clung, if you’re reading, you’re still OK.) :)
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
Rumor is...
His knee would ache whenever he was about to give up a homerun.
