Nothing in the dirt, please.

Hasn't noticed.
Too busy telling Gamel he sucks.

He probably doesn't know Freese has never caught before
Hasn’t been put up on the scoreboard yet.
You know me Al.
He's trying to figure out the next left/left right/right matchups he wants out of his 'pen

"94? Really? Is he the redheaded fella with the sinker?"
Oh that’s the other one? What’s he throw? 95? Really? Huh.

I swear to god BA and Rock are reading the game thread...
… they just noticed that Freese is catching and suggested that Escobar steal 3rd..

Look out
The entire city of St. Louis is going to hunt you down, now.

Cardinals
Only one position player left (K. Greene). The Braves ran out in their 15 inning game earlier today.

Nobody expects the squeeze with 2 outs...
Cards Announcers On Gamel's First Career HR, "That’s all they need is another home run hitter".
ha
that was terrible defense.
Maybe Lugo heard the call from the fans?

Gerut legs it out!
I wonder if David Freese is just a little bit relieved right now.

Ha!
These guys are a playoff team?
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Oct 4, 2009 4:57 PM CDT reply actions
God damn it
How lame, at least give him another AB in a game you’re going to lose anyways…
Ryan Braun: He loves it.

Fielder isn't going to let Pujols touch his HR Derby trophy any more, now.

With that IBB...
Unless this game keeps going, Fielder is as close to .300 as he could get and not get there.
You know me Al.
If he had hit a third HR there it would have been pretty awesome
Sole RBI lead, tied HR lead, .300 on the year in one swing
Ryan Braun: He loves it.

It's also dumb.
They should want the game over as quickly as possible.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Oct 4, 2009 5:00 PM CDT up reply actions
I hope they tie it up again
And this thing goes another 3 innings so Prince gets another AB.

by MadJimiBrewha on Oct 4, 2009 5:01 PM CDT up reply actions
Nah, its not
The St Louis announcers just said it had nothing to do with Prince being near .300 and I believe that they’re certain to know…
"I hope your name is Rick"
Ah the certainty of the Intellectual Prostitute.
How can we question them?
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Oct 4, 2009 5:02 PM CDT up reply actions
I'd be surprised if they knew how close Fielder was to .300
let alone if they cared.
Cards Announcers On Gamel's First Career HR, "That’s all they need is another home run hitter".
Well, .299 on the scoreboard probably was a clue
I don’t think it played into IBB’ing him though.
You know me Al.
Better late than never
What was with Kendall's shaved head?....looks like a fist with eyes.

Correction: Jason Kendall IS a fist with eyes.

Kendall should warn him first too.
Just so we get to see the look of disbelief on Pujols face.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Oct 4, 2009 5:08 PM CDT up reply actions
The thing I don't get about Pujols
Is how many times you hear the story of how great he was for not ditching his then-girlfriend (now wife) when he found out she had a son with Down Syndrome (I think). Sorry, but it doesn’t show that he’s particularly great, it just shows that he’s not a complete asshole…
"I hope your name is Rick"
A positive end to the season, at least
Now I can commence waiting for St. Louis to be swept again by _____________ in the first round (who do they play, Philadelphia?)
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
Me and Witrado love the Dodgers! LOL!
At least for a week.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Oct 4, 2009 5:10 PM CDT up reply actions 1 recs
Given what Witrado said earlier in the season
about it being a good thing that he supported the Dodgers and not the Brewers as it meant he wouldn’t be biased in favour of the Brewers, I take it that means he’d turn down a job reporting for the Dodgers if it was offered to him as it would conflict with his journalistic integrity??
"I hope your name is Rick"
I'm not sure which part of that statement is more disturbing...
Calling Witrado a journalist, or saying he has integrity.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.
witrado
Witrado is a reporter not a cheerleader.
I don't think he's much of either.
He is, however, willing to co-opt the eyewitness stories of others as things he’s experienced.
Maybe he’s Mr. Petermann from Seinfeld?
