AMEN Deputy
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

Let's hope so.
I don’t have a category for "washed-up guys who may or may not be dominant big-league closers sometime soon."

Short term solution???
I think the comments are spot on but not really looking long term. Any way you look at it this going to be an exciting off season. With a little luck DM will make some intelligent non-Suppan/Gange/Patterson moves.

like McGehee
or Lopez, or CC, or any other of the great moves he’s made

Make or break DM
There have definitely been some good moves. A lot of the pieces are in place to have a really good season. One way or the other this off season should define DM.

Wait, what?
The same pieces are in place that were there at the beginning of this year, aren’t they?
