Fall/Winter League Update for 11/13/2009
In Arizona: Lorenzo Cain and Jonathan Lucroy each went 0-for-4 as the Javelinas lost to Surprise, 8-6. Lucroy drew a walk in the game, while Cain struck out three times. Zach Braddock pitched a scoreless ninth but allowed a walk, ending a four-inning streak without allowing a baserunner. He's still gone five without allowing a hit.
In Venezuela: Alcides Escobar went 1-for-4 for Lara yesterday, walked, scored a run and was caught stealing. In the same game, Hernan Iribarren went 0-for-3, but walked twice and stole a base.
In Puerto Rico: The season is officially underway. Here are the two Brewers who debuted yesterday:
- 2009 Brevard County Manatee Martin Maldonado went 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch for Mayaguez.
- 2009 sixth round pick Hiram Burgos, who spent 2009 in Helena, started and posted four scoreless innings for Mayaguez, allowing three hits, walking none and striking out five.

Clearly Lucroy has let all the praise go to his head
0-for-4? He’s now completely worthless. Maybe we can trade him for someone like Gomez. Move him!

So with that 0-4
LuCroy’s average drops from .385 to .295, right?
