If you needed something weird to get you through the opening innings

Todd Zolecki has you covered on Twitter:

http://twitpic.com/o2jst – For those who have not seen it, there is a Harry Kalas cake in the press box. Bizarre.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

Also, Trenni suspects shenanigans with Melky Cabrera being moved off the roster:
Hmmm….hamstring is hurt but Melky can jump around like House of Pain? #suspect

Don Larsen's perfect game is on MLB Network

In case you want to watch a cool Yankees victory or something.

Offft

Already down a run, will the Phillies be able to avoid the panic and play “their game”

If I push the button, does it kill the guy who wrote "The Box?"

I’ve seen this commercial so many times, it’s making me miss George Lopez and Wanda Sykes.

That movie bugs me

Why would you listen to some random guy with half a face who shows up at your door? And who would kill someone for a million dollars- that’s not that much money these days.

I think that's why they had to work extra hard to convey the "financial hardship" angle.

But they’ve turned a semi-interesting concept for a movie into something I’m sick of before I even get to the theater.

I'd kill a person for waaay less than $1MM

I ran into him at Subway last winter

I still regret being respectful, and not doing something horrible to him. I walked out just shaking my head with disgust.

Anybody catch this week's Curb Your Enthusiasm?

Just saw it, loved the nod to the Derek Jeter debate. One of the writers must be a real baseball/stats fan, because you certainly don’t hear the (rational) “one of the worst defensive shortstops in the league” argument on ESPN. (Though I think Larry David is actually a big Yankees fan in real life too)

Ryan Braun: He loves it.

at least Utley is making up for the runs lost defensively

I hadn’t realized he had hit that many in this WS, though. Aiiii.

maybe a little more wouldn't hurt

I’m not sure a four run lead is enough of a cushion for Lidge

raul ibanez looks lost out there

..and what’s with the announcers on a different play “they’ve got to call that a hit, because he’s only made 6 errors all season”

who cares if that play itself was an error?

by PagsBrewCrew on Nov 2, 2009 9:54 PM CST reply actions

Ibanez always looks lost out there

there’s got to be a reason that Lookout Landing has over 9000 animated images of him screwing up.

by morineko on Nov 2, 2009 10:01 PM CST up reply actions

out of curiousity

has anyone ever called him “Ibaño?” Or am I for once the first that ever thought of a clever-but-mean nickname for someone?

Victorino might have made a better throw, there.
