The Thursday Thinker: Thinking about Ben Sheets
Before I left on vacation, we had a couple of extended conversations about Ben Sheets and his value. Sheets had the best season of his career in 2004, going 12-14 with a 2.70 ERA in 237 innings, striking out 264.
Only six pitchers in Brewer history, including Sheets, have ever finished a season with a sub-3.00 ERA and over 200 innings pitched. How many can you name in five minutes?
Again, here are the rules: Post your score in the comments, but don't comment on any specific answer until after 6 pm Central time, so everyone gets a chance to try it out without having it spoiled for them. And, of course, there's no reason to cheat here, because there's no prizes.
Since there are only six answers, odds are someone will get a perfect score. If you manage to get them all, post your time along with your score in the comments. With that said, don't be too embarrassed if you forget a couple (I wouldn't have gotten them all).
Have fun, and don't forget to post your score in the comments!

I scored 2
But I (wisely) gave up after 45 seconds.

again, because I remember the stupidest things.
"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."
3 for me as well.

I never would have come up with the most missed one.
Wes Obermuller?

I never would’ve guessed the two I missed no matter how much time I had.

Hey, I actually did OK on this week’s.
I managed to get the most missed one because I remember him from trying to make a list of former Cy Young winners who played for the Brewers.
Ryan Braun: He loves it. *Bring back Capuano!*

And I surprised myself. I spent most of the time thinking I was spelling various people from the 82 and 92 teams wrong. Lots of good that did me!

Got all of them but Lonborg. I couldn’t remember his name but I thought Bill Parsons might be the oddball since he pitched well before flaming out quickly. I remember Travers for his 7 2/3 IP, 14 R game and put his name in on a lark – pretty unfair to him I guess.

Every time you guys put up a Thursday Thinker
I find myself still wandering through Sporcle 45 minutes later, wondering where the time has gone.
Curse you, BCB, and your drain on my free time!
I tried Wegman
and Nieves
