Not that we should risk it

But I’d love to see what Looper would be offered in arbitration, and what he’d ask for.

I'm starting to expect him to be back.

One year, $2.5-3 million plus a bunch of incentives that’d make it worth $5 million or so if he ends up spending the full season in the rotation.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

I'm fine with bringing Looper in to compete for a spot

As long as it is an actual competition, and there’s plenty of other contributors. I’m willing to accept the possibility that he can be a league average starter, but I’d want a bunch of backup plans in case he bombs.

With that said, if he comes in to compete with Halama, Capuano, Mulder, etc for a spot, and only costs roughly $2-3 million as an insurance policy, I’m all for it.
