Poor Mike Rivera
Good luck getting ABs somewhere. Hopefully DiFelice will be back on a minor league deal, and good luck to McClung – he’ll find a spot.
C. Magruder scored, R. Weeks to second on balk
Looks about right
Offering Coffey was a no brainer, made sense to offer Bush in the absence of a rotation option not named Suppan. Gerut could have gone either way…but he is coverage for both a Gomez failure and a Hart trade.
The non-tenders won’t be missed…except obviously McClung at an emotional level. But criticizing McClung at BCB is, uh, about as well received as suggesting to Rambling Al that Sarah Palin needs remedial education.
I love McClung...
…but know that dyslexics have spell-check on their computers too.
I loved how much info he was willing to share on his tweets, etc, as well as the energy he brought to the field

That's not true
He wasn’t particularly good, with the exception of the end of 2008. I don’t recall anyone taking offense to any level-of-play criticisms for Seth McClung.
But in my opinion, being an emotionless baseball fan is akin to being in a loveless marriage.
Clouding a player analysis with emotion is obviously poor judgement, but I also don’t recall seeing that happen here. I’m sure it has/does, just with less frequency than, say, CBSsports.com forums or ESPN forums or JSonline blog.

Absolutely....there's room to root for the good guys
…I don’t want 8 Barry Bonds-type cheaters [at least for more than a season :) ] in the batter order either…I guess I just don’t get the level of Seth fascination. I mean, Suppan is a good guy too but we rail him for not performing up to his contract, which isn’t his fault (the contract part I mean).
Here’s hoping all three guys land of their feet and prosper…though preferably in the American League.

Now we have to wonder who gets DFA'd when someone new signs
Wolf, Hawkins, Vargas, and Counsell will put the roster right at 40.
I think it will be Tim Dillard.
Possibly
But I don’t particularly see anyone new signing. Unless Mark A. is planning on starting the year at a payroll higher than any of the past years.
Barring a trade of a high-ish salary player, that is. In which case, the 40-man won’t be a problem anyway.

Cruz, most likely
Although Dillard is also a good bet.
That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.
