- Mat Gamel went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk and scored a run for Caracas yesterday. He's hitting .227/.261/.591 in 23 PAs.
In the Dominican Republic:
- Erick Almonte went 0-for-2 with three walks on Friday. He's hitting .326/.463/.457 in 172 PAs, and leads all qualified Dominican batters in OBP by 50 points.
- Carlos Gomez went 1-for-3 with a double on Friday, stole a base and scored two runs. He's hitting .333/.429/.453 in 82 PAs, with seven stolen bases in eight attempts.
- Juan Sandoval pitched a scoreless inning on Thursday. He's posted a 3.68 ERA in 14.2 innings.
In Mexico: Luis Cruz went 6-for-12 over the weekend with a double, a walk and three home runs, one in each game. He scored five runs and drove in five. All told, he's hitting .331/.369/.479 in 174 PAs, and is riding an eight game hitting streak.
In Puerto Rico:
- Martin Maldonado went 0-for-3 on Friday. He's 0-for his last 11 and hitting .097/.200/.097 in 33 PAs.
- Hiram Burgos started yesterday and pitched four innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out five. He's posted a 2.60 ERA in 27.2 innings in the PWL, walking five and striking out 21.
