I didn't know who he was, so I looked him up in Wiki...
“He previously pitched in Major League Baseball for the Texas Rangers. At 6’ 7” tall, Loe is one of the tallest players in the game and also has a 7 foot boa constrictor named Angel which he keeps in the clubhouse."
no way.
Cards Announcers On Gamel's First Career HR, "That’s all they need is another home run hitter".
way
I don’t recall what happened to the snake when he was playing in Japan (they’re not allowed pets for importation there)
We're lucky
he didn’t sign with the Diamondbacks.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
I'm getting really excited about the 2010 Sounds
probably more so than the 2010 Brewers, but I’m weird like that
Whoa
He’s full of snakely goodness, isn’t he?
If he makes the bigs in Milwaukee, I’ll have to make a point of finding terrace seats…third base side. Maybe out in Bernie’s Terrace. Gah.
You've got a couple screws missin' up in your toolbox, if you think that you'll stop this man from hittin' moonshots.
A former Texas Ranger!?
Shocking.
Applying Simpsons and Star Wars quotes to Brewers discussions since 2009.
I'm not sure that it matters
As long as he’s from Texas or Canada, I think its a good bet he’ll be signed.

No longer a snake owner
Cards Announcers On Gamel's First Career HR, "That’s all they need is another home run hitter".
That's an incredible story.
That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

I'm not surprised Loe came back to the States at all
The Hawks and the Fighters are the only teams not on Honshu (the major population island in Japan)—the Fighters are up in (brr) Sapporo on Hokkaido and the Hawks play, obvs. in Fukuoka, which is on Kyushu. Fukuoka is a large city in its own right but…I’ve had friends who worked in Fukuoka and Oita and it’s definitely not what Americans expect when they think of Japan.
Y’all may remember Lindsay Gulin; he played for the Hawks and got stuck on the minor league team for two years after breaking his hand. Gulin, like Loe, made more money than would have been possible on a minor-league contract here but the Japanese affiliated minors are seriously NOT like AAA, from what I’ve heard. (It also didn’t help Gulin any that Toshiya Sugiuchi pitched beyond expectations in 2005.)
giggity

Awesome
I and other snake phobic fans can root wholeheartedly for Kameron now.
