Misty May's Husband signs minor league deal with Brewers
Matt Treanor signed a minor leage deal according to McCalvy. More importantly, you may be able to see Misty May if he makes the team.
[Jeff adds: ] He'll presumably be fighting Lucroy and Kottaras for the backup gig. He barely played last year because of injury, but he had a nice season in 2006 and has always shown a lot of patience at the plate. Basically, he's Jason Kendall, which isn't so bad when he's third on the depth chart.

Does this possibly signal a trade?
The Brewers now have 5 catchers who could be at least backups in the major leagues right now (Zaun, Kottaras, Salome, Lucroy, Treanor) and who will be at spring training. I’m all for depth, but assuming you have two spots in the majors and two spots in AAA (with one of Lucroy or Salome starting most of the games) where does the fifth guy go and why even sign him?
Treanor seems like a minor league depth signing, but the Brewers are already deep enough (unless they send Treanor to AA or keep Lucroy in AA, which I hope isn’t the case)
Ryan Braun: He loves it.
Kottoras is out of options
It’s possible he could be a guy dumped off the 40 man if space is needed.

And I guess even if Kottaras impresses in spring training and wins the backup role, Treanor could be used in AA (being that Rottino got traded last season and Lucroy will hopefully be in AAA)
