The Thursday Thinker: Young Pitching

Last week, we talked about young Brewer position players. This week, let's talk pitchers. Only one Brewer has ever pitched 100 innings in a season before his age 23 season. Twenty others did it for the first time during their age 23 season. Of the 21, how many can you name in eight minutes?

Again, here are the rules: Post your score in the comments, but do not comment on any specific answer until after 6 pm Central time, so everyone gets a chance to try it out without having it spoiled for them. And, of course, there's no reason to cheat here, because there's no prizes.

This list is heavily weighted towards early Brewers, but some of the more recent names might surprise you. If you manage to get them all, post your time along with your score in the comments.

Have fun, and don't forget to post your score in the comments!

and lucky to get that many.

If you're scoring at home

I’m pretty sure this is the first Thinker ever to include Ruben Quevedo.

Happy holidays, Rubie.

That's all I've got for you today, unless you're interested in some Chris Capuano/Tom Haudricourt Fan Fiction.

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas

and that everyone scored at home.

Heyo

Can’t believe Eldred and D’Amico weren’t on the list. Can’t believe I missed Woodard.

Should have gotten a few more. I noticed in the comments under the sporcle game that it appears there are a few other early Brewers that weren’t on the list. Any reason why Kevin Kobel’s 169 innings at age 20 in 1974 or Eduardo Rodgiguez weren’t on the list?

I'm trying to figure out how I missed those.

I used B-Ref’s Play Index, and they didn’t show up.
