I think he's pointing out that 1 year of Coffey pitching pretty solidly isn't all that unique
If you switch Coffey to any team before ‘08, he probably doesn’t have many votes at all.
E: George 4 (5, throw, throw, throw, throw).
In Coffey's time here, he hasn't been horrible or injured.
Since his time has been so limited, we haven’t had a chance to see a negative side to him as we did with many of the relievers that pitched during the 00’s

Which really is the point of the original 100 G or IP cutoff
So, meh. I can’t begrudge anyone voting for Coffey, though. He did have one of the better seasons of the decade. I just wonder how the results would change if this wasn’t voted on until 2015.
His name was also a noun..
However, he wasn’t NEARLY as sweet as Coffey is. I will cheer more for this fake team when Coffey comes running in to the Ultimate Warrior theme than when Fox trots to the mound.
