There is pretty good list of available corner outfielders, and the Mets have discussed Mike Cameron -- who indicated last week that he could be willing to consider a shift to the corner outfield under the right circumstances . . .

On the bright side
It should be easy to find a cheap 4th outfielder once Jody Gerut isn’t tendered a contract.
i find this a bit hard to believe
cameron was irritated with the mets when they acquired beltran and moved him to a corner. unless the market’s soft or he thinks the mets are legit contenders (or that beltran can’t play in more than 10 games per year anymore), i think this would be a last resort. cameron is probably just trying to not close doors yet by saying “the right circumstances”.
It sucks that no one would have wanted Cameron
if the Brewers would have gotten ‘stuck’ with him by offering arb.
I don’t have a category for "washed-up guys who may or may not be dominant big-league closers sometime soon."
