Thursday Thinker Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Want something else to do?  Head on over to the Brewers MLB.com site and check out the video that starts playing once you get there.

It's a little dated, as it's a month old, but still, there's something in the video that should leap out the throttle the alert viewer.

They were already talking about the departures of cameron and lopez a month ago, thus predicting no arb for either one of them.

either that or that peyton’s gift was a football

"That's not a weird stat. Rickie is a run-scorer," Yost said. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter," Yost told reporters. "See, you guys have no concept. He's a run-scorer. So there's nothing weird about it. That's what he does."

I was thinking more

about Gomez’ role with the team.

Yeah,

no way he’s the leadoff hitter next year. At least not at the beginning of the year. Hasn’t Melvin already said that Weeks is the 2nd Baseman and leadoff hitter?

Can you imagine?

I mean Gomez may be fast, but a career .290 OBP leading off? Yikes.

Well, as long as he's a run-scorer, I am okay with it.

Hey now

A .290 OBP in the leadoff spot worked for the 2009 NL pennant winners.

Well then I stand corrected. :)

They're monitoring us, man!

It was the Hardy/Gomez trade, where the announcer said we’ve found our new leadoff guy.

Ahhh

That makes so much more sense. I thought I was just not seeing something…either that or a Peyton Manning signing is immanent.

BCB, the preferred above replacement level sarcasm supplier.

He'd be a slower pitcher than Vargas

What with all of the changing pitches, and all
