Corey Hart trade.
If the Brewers were to trade Corey Hart, I disagree with getting Spilbourghs in return. I would prefer Seth Smith. His numbers alone prove that he will be a very good baseball player. He is a decent fielder and an outstanding hitter.
Hmmm
I interpreted it as they might trade away Spilborghs and that Hart would be a possible target to replace him, i.e. the Brewers would get pitching or something else from the Rockies in return for Hart and the Rockies would get something else for Spilborgh.

To get Seth Smith
The Brewers would have to give up Hart and at least a big time prospect. And after that, where do you put him? He plays 1B and LF.
without hart, braun could move to RF, and we will probably need a 1b in about 2 years.

Let me just go out on a limb here
and list a couple of points:
- Ryan Braun plays average or slightly below average defense in LF.
- He is the face of the franchise.
- He has already switched positions once for the team, who’s to say he will again?

well
Braun WAS error free the first year. Of course, he just sat out there like a bump on a log so he wouldn’t have to touch the ball with his glove, but no errors baby.
So, maybe he needs to switch position every year.
I took some heat for accusing Braun of being a poor defender that first year in LF.

Sometimes
I have trouble seeing past his winning smile and cocksure manner.

Who do they have, pitching-wise?
Francis?

If its anything like what DM was asking for from Boston
He’s probably trying to swap Corey Hart for Ubaldo Jimenez.
And he might take Aaron Cook's contract off the Rockies hands
if they’re nice to him.
