I wonder...
…if Patterson’s agent was able to add in a mandatory call up into the deal for the second year in a row.

Ah, C-Patt
I hardly knew ye, and that was fine with me.
Seriously, at the clubhouse sale last weekend, I saw Patterson’s locker nameplate for $75 – same as John Axford – and felt bad for Axford.
You've got a couple screws missin' up in your toolbox, if you think that you'll stop this man from hittin' moonshots.
The only way I can see this as a positive is...
if the Mariners also somehow manage to get Dusty Baker. Then Co-Pat will be batting lead off and starting everyday no matter how talented the persons are in front of him.

He must have the best agent in the world to continuously find this guy work.
Why is he not playing in Japan?
Cards Announcers On Gamel's First Career HR, "That’s all they need is another home run hitter".
Only within the Brewers organization
He has some serious dirt on Jack Z. Maybe Melvin was protecting Jack Z and now Jack is on his own. No other rational or irrational explanation in my book.
baseball mafia?
You put my guy on the team, I put your guy in the bullpen? You know wadda mean?
