First four cuts of camp
Mark Rogers, Alex Periard, Jason Bourgeois and Martin Maldonado have been sent to minor league camp. Rogers, Periard and Bourgeois are all limited by injury, Maldonado is just the odd catcher out.
Bourgeois is expected to be invited back once he's healthy.

Can someone explain to me what good it does to cut a player (in this case Bourgeois) who is hurt, than call him back to major league when he is healthy again?

He'll probably get actual practice in minor league camp.
Now that games have started, the major leaguers probably won’t be doing a lot of drills, since there are games every day. With a broken pinkie, Bourgeois is pretty useless in games. In minor league camp, though, he can keep doing the drills he can do with the minor leaguers.
He’s not the worst pitcher ever, just the worst good pitcher.

It's always the middle class that takes the hit.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
