Craig Counsell is a beast in waiting.
With a lifetime .255 batting average, Craig Counsell is due for a breakout year. His new batting stance is pure genius, putting him in a position to hit more infield singles and slow-rollers down the line then ever before. His uncanny ability to produce points without ever hitting a home run will be invaluable to the team. We here at BCB have been talking about an up year for the Brewers offense, and the glorious cornerstone will undoubtably be the original C.C.

I say it’s about time for Whitefish Bay’s Sultan of Swat to jolt the power numbers!
On s serious note, it’d be nice for him to produce like Cirillo in his last stint with the Crew. He always found a way to be Mr. Clutch.

According to The Onion,,,
it turns out Craig was the greatest player of the steriod era – who wasn’t using. He still managed a .255 lifetime average and powered 33 lifetime HR’s.No oher non-user was close to these Hall of Fame numbers. The article “quotes” Bob Uecker recalling his amazing almost feats.

Points?
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

Yeah...
… because, “to produce runs without ever hitting a home run,” uses “run” too many times in the same sentence for my liking.

I wonder where this rule came from
Spade a spade. A usual feature on a player like Prince Fielder will mention the noun “Prince Fielder” in a progression like this:
Prince Fielder
Fielder
The slugging first basemen
The first basemen
The slugger
He
The vegetarian
The power hitting infielder
Fielder
He
The Prince
Fielder
The defensive liability
Fielder

"The slugging first basemen"
Is this feature written by the Spin Doctors? :)

Another difference between blog writing and newswriting
News writers always introduce a guy as “Righthander Braden Looper” or “Starting pitcher Braden Looper”. I just say “Braden Looper”.
