Team Italy eliminated from WBC
Team Venezuela defeated Italy today, 10-1. Mark DiFelice and Vinny Rottino can now return to big league camp.

Dominican and Netherlands are scoreless in the 7th in an elimination game. It is on the MLB Network for anyone who is interested.

I re-watched DiFelice's innings last night...
While the announcer separately mentioned that both he and “Vincent” Rottino are playing in the Brewers org, I don’t think he ever got around to mentioning that they were battery-mates for almost all of DiFelice’s games at Nashville last year.
Vincent Rottino sounds more Italian, I suppose
Not as much as Marco Scutaro, who isn’t Italian, but what can you do?

I’m watching. One of these guys just compared some Australian (I missed who) to Craig Counsell.
I was not expecting that reference.
When you are skinny and not so good at hitting...

At least it was competitive…
but, I do have an idea, next WBC let’s not play a preliminary round in that stadium. Oi the homers.
It was a wonderful hour or so there when we were leading.
Myself and the five other Australians watching were quite excited.
