Cameron shut down
Via Adam McCalvy:
Mike Cameron has been shut down for at least a few days with a ribcage injury, so Chris Duffy gets the start today in center field.
...
Cameron tweaked a muscle between his ribs, near his left armpit, during relay drills on Wednesday. He said he suffered a similar injury during 2007 Spring Training with the Padres and it sidelined him a month. He's hoping that he caught this one early enough to limit his downtime.

Not Good
Similar injury put me out of beer-league softball for a month a couple years back. Took a big swing and it was like someone stuck a knife in me.
Is this going to be the equivalent of his 25 game suspension? hopefully not
He might be tender when he comes back… he is getting old, and could take him longer to come back than the younger guys
The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.
I am not optimistic about his ability to come back in a few days.
“It took me a month to come back from this last time, but it should only be a few days this time” isn’t a prediction that usually comes true.
"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."
It's still better than
him saying, “It took a month to come back from this last time, and darn I hope it doesn’t take that long this time.”
