A little bit suprised the Crew did not take him back
I know that there is not a spot for him to start at AAA or AA but would he not have some value in a trade with another team for something that we do need?

Who would give up something for him?
A 26-year-old catcher with limited upside who missed most of last season isn’t a great commodity. You’d be just as well off keeping your low-level long-shot sort-of prospect and signing one of the career AAA catchers out there.
