Brewers 12, Dodgers 8
W: David Riske (2-0)
L: Claudio Vargas (0-1)
HR: Corey Hart (6), Mike Cameron (2), Casey McGehee (5), Prince Fielder (4), J.J. Hardy (2)
The Brewers played longball with the Dodgers today, hitting five home runs, including two off of former Brewer Claudio Vargas.
Manny Parra started and struggled, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks in just 3.2 innings, but he did strike out 6 of the 11 batters he retired. David Riske relieved him and allowed a bases-loaded double to Andre Ethier to tie the game at five, but was credited with the win when the Brewers pulled ahead for good in the bottom of the fourth.
Ryan Braun started in left today for the first time since the start of the WBC, and walked in both of his plate appearances before leaving with tightness in his intercostal muscle. Casey McGehee continued his torrid spring, going 2-for-3 with a home run and driving in four.

Vargas
The LA Times was reporting yesterday that it appears likely that Vargas has nailed down the #5 rotation spot for the Dodgers. Needless to say, the Dodgers’ pitching is really, really bad.

I think many of our wins this year are going to look lot like this game.

Well, he might get two wins like today
Where he pitches poorly but the offense picks him up and he wins by no fault of his own.
"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."

Too bad Sam Narron and Ivan DeJesus Jr. weren't around
They could have joined Matthew Wallach and Tony Gwynn, Jr. for an MLB relatives conference before/after/during the game.
