It's Clark Howard..
Apparently MLB.com doesn’t check to make sure they are talking baseball before they flip on the switches…
TH is on the phone to Doug Melvin
“I called Doug Melvin to make sure that the Brewers have not in fact signed Clark Howard to provide commentary. I hope this is the end of it, and Voldemort can rot in Hell.”

Uecker!
After Provus/Schroeder, this is heavenly. Even though Provus remains.

Ok, I need a judgment call.
I’m working on creating a wedding registry at ThinkGeek.com. Does this make me too much of a nerd?
"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."
Absolutely not
Hey, I’d register there. But I freely admit to being a nerd. Your mileage (and your fiancee) may vary.
My infamous mother has an, um, issue with wedding registries, or actually what ends up on them. Her view is that the point of the registry if a couple has been cohabitating for a while is to get really fun stuff for the house/apartment or for the couple to do together, because they should already have the basics.
“They’ve been living together for three years. Why do they need all this kitchen stuff?”—implying that the couple’s housekeeping skills suck.
My other registries are full of kitchen stuff too
But that’s not because we don’t have anything, it’s because the stuff we have was accumulated while we were in college and the impoverished period thereafter, and therefore we could use better stuff.
"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."
that's because you're normal
I try to explain to her that stuff breaks, is of poor quality, etc, and she just grouses that if you’re getting married for time #2, you should already have a toaster (ignoring the fact that I purchased her last three toasters for her, for instance)
gold glove center fielder
Mike Cameron.
The guy wears sunglasses all the time. That must be some sun for him to lose it.

You know who else wears sunglasses all the time?
Corey Hart.
Especially at ni…well, you know.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"
I've only been listening on and off...
But could someone paying more attention enlighten me as to how much of this has been Looper vs. how much has been terrible defense (JJ dropping the ball, Cameron losing it, etc…)
It's looper's first game back, right?
Probably not trying to do much with his pitches today

That's what I was figuring
It sounds like a rehab start + bad defense = seven runs
Prince as a slow starter
Fielder had relatively slow starts the previous two seasons, but he seems honed in during Spring Training this year. I suppose that’s partly because pitchers aren’t pitching around him, but how much of that is his off-season training and focus (no pouting over contract issues)? It would be great to see him put up 5 or 6 HRs in April this year.
wtf box score?
What is the actual score right now?
(I’ll be so glad when the Brewers get out of Home Run Derby Arizona)
I've got 8-7 Rangers, bottom of the 6th.

Rickie Weeks slows down
It sounds like he might’ve been listening to what they’ve been preaching about slowing down and gets mildly ripped by Ueck for almost being too slow to get the DP. Frankly, I’m much happier with ‘almost being too slow’ than ‘throwing it away’ or ‘Hardy didn’t look ready for that bullet from Rickie."
Not counting today
There have been 24 Cactus League games played since Sunday, and the winning team has averaged 9.375 runs per game. There are five games in progress and one tonight, and four more teams have seven or more runs today.
Better than 25% of teams (13 of 48) have broken double figures in those 24 games.

Braun had an MRI today, no damage reported.
So says Cory Provus.

That's the defense from Escobar
That we’ve been expecting all spring.
