Game Thread #-9: Brewers (14-9-3) at Rangers (15-11)
This week I've been trying to work out in the afternoons while listening to the Brewers. Today, with no Brewer game in the afternoon, I was forced to work out while watching the Cubs run out to a 9-0 lead on the White Sox. I worked harder, certainly, but it wasn't as much fun.
Tonight, the Brewers play their first night game of the spring, and the second of their home-and-home series with the Rangers. Dave Bush takes the mound for the Crew against Kevin Millwood. Bush has been the Brewers' best starter this spring, posting a 2.70 ERA in 20 innings, leading Brewer starters in both stats.
Millwood is the Rangers' leader in Cactus League innings, but the results have been much less exciting: He carries a 8.05 ERA in 19 innings into tonight's action.
Tonight's game is on MLB Network, and if you watch you'll get to see several guys who are fighting for jobs on the team. Here's tonight's lineup, via the JS:
CF Tony Gwynn Jr.
LF Chris Duffy
1B Casey McGehee
3B Bill Hall
RF Brad Nelson
DH Mike Lamb
C Mike Rivera
2B Hernan Iribarren
SS Alcides Escobar
Friday night's Game Thread is now open.

Riske in for a three-run save
I was wondering how they’d rig up a 10th inning to finish off the broadcast.

Brad Nelson
We’ve been watching this guy’s stats all spring but have we checked the WALKS? Nine walks in less than 60 ABs? This guy needs to be in the lineup. Good eye? Fear from the opposition? Whatever. He needs to be in Milwaukee in April.
