Mark DiFelice started and pitched three innings, followed by one each from Mitch Stetter, Todd Coffey, Jorge Julio and Wes Littleton, and Lindsay Gulin. David Johnson pitched a scoreless ninth for his first save in his first Cactus League appearance. Rickie Weeks' solo home run in the fifth was the game's only run. Tony Gwynn started in left field and went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts and two walks.
