Looper to miss another start
Via McCalvy:
The Brewers did pass along news this morning that right-hander Braden Looper will miss his next start Thursday because of tightness in an oblique muscle at the back of his ribcage, but did immediately not elaborate on the extent of the injury. Seth McClung will start that day instead as the Brewers play an exhibition against Australia's entry to the World Baseball Classic.

Braden Looper, meet Randy Choate.
"I will agree that the attitude [at BCB] is ridiculous and they have done so much to instigate animosity and then block us from responding. Real mature!"

it's too bad Balfour isn't on Team Australia
I was just about to post that link, heh.
(Are there any more starters hiding under couch cushions, like spare change?)

Still don't know extent
Tom H is reporting that we still don’t know the results of the physical, and all we know is that he’ll miss his next start. This could be a nagging injury. I doubt it’s very serious, but I’m guessing it’s something that you need to let heal on its own.

Sheets
At least Sheets had the decency to get injured after pitching a few ML Inning :)

I'd rather have a healthy regualr season than spring training
I dont think Looper was on the DL in the last 3 years or so if I remember correctly… so I think the season comes around he will be good to go!
The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws.

He is still my favorite former Cardinal pitcher on the team.
