Actually, you did pretty awesome
Your offense is pretty juiced though I do have some tweaks that will help you in the future. First off, Delmon Young is living off reputation alone right now. He’s young, and is wearing out his welcome in Minnesota. They have talents like Span and Gomez taking his playing time away at the beginning of the season, and he really won’t get good playing time until Cuddyer goes down again this year. And weiters is a beast, so you’ll be able to move Mauer to help out in your deficiencies. Also, I’d see if I can get another 1B and leave Laroche on the bench until his average rises above .225 in June. Also, you are going to need a backup guy at 3B for when Chipper gets hurt.
Pitching: you neglected closers, but your starters are good. I would like to see setup guys that have a shot at closing, but overall, you will be good.
Would you mind posting when you took each guy so i can see basically how your draft went?

nicely done
Great grabs in the first 2. I don’t think you needed to go Hamels and Webb in the next 2, but you did get yourself 2 premium starters, and made up for passing on power with Votto at 8. I think you waited too long on a closer, and Lee wasn’t a necesity for your team, could’ve grabbed a top tier guy there. I’m not much of a Chris young fan, but Baker and slowey make up for it. You probably won’t hold onto anyone after 20 except wieters who will slot in to your Util spot all year long with great results, and Span. Overall, you’ve got a good base, and you’ll be able to move Mauer for a good closer or another power OF

yeah
seriously, who was picked in the first round for you to grab the two top OF?

1-hanley ramirez…..2-albert pujols…..3-A-Rod…….4-David Wright……5-Miguel Cabrera……6-Jose Reyes…..7-Teixeira….8-rollins……9-Lincecum
too bad for pick #3
Great pick at 6. I’d take both of your guys over 7-9.

"Weiters is a beast."
I’m as excited about this guy as anyone, and using the 211th pick on him is probably a steal, but how can we say he’s a beast when he’s never played a MLB game?
Granted, I’d have no problem dropping a much earlier pick on him because I think there’s enough hype around him (at least in the drafts I’m in) that people will be gunning for him, whereas lots of other players, as usual, are really undervalued.
But yeah, Blue, I think you did a great job. Similar to what Hyatt said, I might have gone with a closer in the 7th round instead of Lee (i don’t trust his 2008 that much), and I also tend to wait until at least the 6th round for pitching, but you have a pretty balanced team.
"Nothing is working right now with a lot of the guys. We're trying to see pitches and see what we can do. ... I'm not going to sit there and walk, though. I'll eventually find it, and hopefully we'll still be in it." -Corey Hart
