He had a cortisone shot today, hopefully that clears things up. With Salome nursing a stiff back, Rivera out and Vinny Rottino catching for Italy in the WBC, the Brewers are down to Jason Kendall, Jonathan Lucroy, Carlos Corporan and Martin Maldonado are the only catchers remaining on the spring roster.

He could be out for the year and it wouldn't matter.

Eric Gagne DL time: May 23-June 29 Brewers record in that span: 20-9

I was thinking about that earlier today

Lou Palmisano might make the Astros and become their permanent property while spending the entire season on the end of the bench as a backup catcher.

Lasy year, or this year, for that matter, why didn’t the Brewers pick the best catcher available in the Rule 5 Draft and stash them this way?

"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."

Who was the best catcher available?

If it’s a guy like Vinny Rottino, would picking him have mattered?

No, probably not.

Jesus Flores would’ve been nice.

Also, cheese.
