Royals 7, Brewers 1
W: Zack Greinke (2-0)
L: Yovani Gallardo (0-1)
HR: Brad Nelson (1)
This one was over in the bottom of the first, when the Royals scored all seven of their runs on four hits, three walks and one very costly error by Rickie Weeks that negated a likely double play. The Royals scored seven runs without an extra base hit.
Gallardo was unable to get out of the first inning, making it his second appearance this spring lasting one inning or less. In this one, he gave up seven runs (five earned) on four hits and three walks in two thirds of an inning. Tim Dillard, Sam Narron, Jorge Julio and Joe Bateman pitched 7.1 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just three hits.
The Brewers managed just six hits, including doubles by Rickie Weeks and Hernan Iribarren and Brad Nelson's solo home run in the ninth. Trot Nixon came to the plate four times and went 0-for-1 with three walks.

I don't know what's more distressing
the fact that Gallardo struggled severely, or that Rickie Weeks still hasn’t learned defense.
if yovanni struggles this much during the season...
…we won’t hit .500

At least Greinke did well
in his audition for Melvin.
Also nice to see seeing as I missed a fantasy draft tonight and he was the first pitcher the computer picked for me, I think my pitching might be a little weak but offense sure does look dandy.
BCB, the preferred above replacement level sarcasm supplier.
Braun falling to #10 in both of my drafts has been my highlight so far.
Apparently projection systems and Brewer fans are the only ones who see his beast potential this year!
