Unnecessarily inflammatory.
Plus funny.

How about quicker than the lifespan...

like predicting the brewers to win 81 games ducks
yes
that would be unduly pessimistic. i can’t imagine why anyone would think that.
Also, cheese.

yes
but we are 1-5 right now. You know that Cubs fans assumed the sweep.

man, that bums me out.
I didn’t realize how badly our first week went.

No, we specifically arranged the rotation so that you'd get to face Suppan
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
Yeah.
Clearly they’ll win at least 85.
:)

Seth
Some clown posted at the Brewer website that Parra should be yanked from the rotation and McClung put in his spot based on Parra’s start yesterday.
I missed it.
What’s wrong with Soto?

they
had said shoulder but i read in the trib it was the bicep
either way the MRI showed nothing major
I /knew/ someone would notice I wasn't around
My batteries were dead!!!! Also I had to draw a bunch of Elmos for my niece. While trying to watch the game. I am not a happy treecat right now.
As if on cue after the end of the inning...

I've accepted that batting order doesn't matter that much...
… but seeing Hardy up after Prince hurts my head.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Apr 10, 2009 4:57 PM CDT reply actions
WGN
already named Rich Harden the player of the game…
they need to wait to win this game, nyo
don’t worry, you’ve seen the Cubs ‘pen. although without Gaudin, it’s not what it could be.
I think
people are sleeping on the pen big time, everyone but The Viz is throwing very hard with at least 1 good breaking pitch
I'm trying to keep my own spirits up
Because I am not liking the idea of McClung getting the L in the home opener. You all know me by now….
I'd love to see
the Cubs pen and get Harden out of here

Oh wow. Excellent taste, ESPN

jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
the problem with old canned polls
I thought Adenhart was in the rotation in the first place because everyone and their cat was hurt, anyway.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say they mean the actual injuries
and not adenhart

I know what they MEANT
But that’s not at all how it reads.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
he didnt pitch
yesterday so i would guess so unless the cubs score a bunch
Kudos to Lou
This is a smart way to use Marmol.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
I wasn't being facetious
but this deserves to be linked again.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
Wow, really impressive AB from Corey
Maybe Marmol’s slider isn’t biting like normal.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
Who would have predicted that Corey Hart would see eight pitches from Carlos Marmol?
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
(and Gameday says that last pitch was a strike)
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
Oh well, at least Marmol had to throw 16 pitches
8th should be interesting.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
my god
where was he positioned? He needs to be a DH very soon.

Who comes in, ACB?
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
Now, onto more important matters
I can’t wait to meet the guy who drops $1200 on a Jeff Suppan jersey.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
Gameday thought it was a strike
First two pitches were really close, too.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
The worst call all game was that ball called against Looper
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
fuck
lou is off his game today- PH with Aaron Miles? using the Viz?

Good work, Billy
You earned yourself some Gatorade.
jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner
what's worse
being macha’d or being yost’d
time will only tell
"At least we still have math on our side" - Ned Yost
at least Macha hasn't really left a pitcher in to totally die
He pulled Looper when he was pretty much cashed, after all. Not really his fault McClung doesn’t usually find where the strike zone is until May.
and I come back to this
Well, bottom of the 9th. Oh please. Come on.
I didn’t lose the game but I lost my Internet connection for a while. (No, I was not tweeting from the dugout, battlekow.)
All I have to say is I finally get all the Reds fan jokes about Todd Coffey. !

Grounder was leading him slightly away from 2nd
You could tell there was a split-second thought of going to 2B, but he must’ve thought he’d be late.
Doubling off Hart and Braun on that grounder would have been tough.
It’s not like it was a bullet. But he was setting up for the wrong throw, and his toss home was all shoulder, came in late and bounced, making it a tougher play.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Apr 10, 2009 6:26 PM CDT up reply actions
I understand...
That Corey is going to be there to break it up and Braun isn’t slow, but as it came off the bat, I thought it was a DP. I was amazed that he went home. I say the double play is difficult, but accurate throw and a tag at home is more difficult. As long as we win, I am good with that!
Didn't you get the memo?
Its the Brewers who have the terrible defense. Just ask a Cubs fan.
by Ted Simmons Speed Camp on Apr 10, 2009 6:29 PM CDT up reply actions
What a Game
If this is any sign of what this season is going to look like, I can’t wait, And the Crews bats haven’t even gotten hot yet, Weeks had a awesome game on the field even though he was only 1-5 the one was huge also big props on the base running. Lets hope the dramatic win carries over for the series.

FSN ???
How awful is the Scorboard on FSN it was saying Harden was throwing high heat around 105. Plus the pitch count was off all night.
