Off-Day Astrology: Corey Hart

I don't know if Corey Hart's horoscope for April 10 said he'd get a high five from Bill Hall.

I don't know if Corey Hart's horoscope for April 10 said he'd get a high five from Bill Hall.

Arguably the Brewers' hottest hitter, Corey Hart is tied for the team lead with three home runs, and his .714 slugging percentage and 1.143 OPS lead the team through nine games. Even more surprisingly, Hart is showing significant improvement in plate discipline in the early going, drawing seven walks in his last six games. Corey only drew seven walks in one of six months last season.

So what explains this change in philosophy? Perhaps we can find the answer in the stars. Corey Hart, born on March 24, 1982, is an Aries:

It may be difficult to understand the instructions of a higher up today and you may find yourself puzzling over some long-term job project. Do not be afraid to ask questions--you may not be the only one that does not understand. Everything points to your taking the initiative. A temptation to create ways that will make progress in the work place happen faster may not be the greatest action for the remainder of this week. Step back and help when asked, your turn will come. You are feeling healthy and unaffected by any negatives today. There is a chance to have a special time with someone you love this evening. There is a present to be opened, by you or someone you love--enjoy. A sense of support and harmony makes this a happy time.

Wow. Going point by point:

It may be difficult to understand the instructions of a higher up today and you may find yourself puzzling over some long-term job project. Do not be afraid to ask questions--you may not be the only one that does not understand.

Yup, I guess the order to take more pitches did come from management, and Corey's not the only one who got it.

Everything points to your taking the initiative. A temptation to create ways that will make progress in the work place happen faster may not be the greatest action for the remainder of this week. Step back and help when asked, your turn will come.

This is the horoscope version of "Don't try to do too much with it."

You are feeling healthy and unaffected by any negatives today. There is a chance to have a special time with someone you love this evening. There is a present to be opened, by you or someone you love--enjoy. A sense of support and harmony makes this a happy time.

Sounds like Corey is making the most of his off day. Good for him.

Wow...

Corey is 1 year and 1 day younger than me. Looks like that means the dream is over.

I just sit back and root for the taser

I always heard that J.J. Hardy was the Brewers' hottest hitter

I’m sure Corey will be pleased to find out that someone fancies him, though he probably would have appreciated a little more discretion, KL.

jeff: but i shudder to think of the bullpen analogy to sending the runner

I’ve actually heard girls argue this, umm, point about Corey Hart. I kinda look at them funny.

Scored three times and detonated an indisputable in four visits to the batting box.

I believe the ole'

“butter face” (but his face?) theory applies here.
